Obama’s Advice To Christians…

July 24, 2008

This one got me hot so be patient.

The ad from Obama and the Dems (link below) say we need a “better Christian witness in politics”. Are you kidding me? The ad says we are supposed to listen to what a man says because “out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks”. This is supposed to be a quote from Luke 6:45.

However if you take the entire verse in context it says:

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”

I would hate to say it but I think the things coming out of Sen. Obama’s heart are the evil things the Bible speaks of above. So I would agree we need to listen to what comes out of his mouth concerning ALL the topics he talks about and judge those things by their fruit as we are instructed to do.

The next verse after this really says it all in regards to Obama. It says:

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”

From a purely Biblical stand point if you put the platforms of both parties in a side by side comparisons the Republicans will come out on the side more in line with Biblical truth then the Dems every single time. There is no argument to that.

Obama often quotes and misquotes scripture (as done in the radio ad below) and it drives me crazy because he makes half truths out of what he is trying to say and never keeps the scripture in its full context. I mean from a man who says the sermon on the mount says being gay is ok? WHAT! So he is saying Jesus said to the masses that being gay is fine? Has he never read the Bible? He says he doesn’t know what will happen to him when he dies but yet calls himself a Christian? Seriously? Like the article says, “we will know them by their fruits”.

Point blank I don’t see how Christians can vote for this guy. Now I don’t really know how we can vote for the other guy either but there really is no comparison. If Christians should judge all things by the word then I just don’t get it. There is no argument as to why you should vote for him. The only thing I hear him say as to why Christians want to vote for him is because he wants to help the poor. That is great, lots of Republicans want to help the poor also. Do you then sacrifice all the rest that the Bible instructs us to do in the name of “helping the poor”? Is that the Great Commission? To “help the poor”? No, its not.

Now we all know you don’t have to be a Christian to be President but if you are going to push yourself as one and campaign on that fact then you need to stop lying about it. This false feel good “christianity” that pastors and politicians are pushing is downright evil and we need to be very skeptical about it. Don’t get me started on Rick Warren and his upcoming “debate” he is having for the candidates at his church.

End of sermon…let me have it.

Your Not Smart Enough..

July 21, 2008

Ok. So Barry has said that he is for homosexual “marriage” and thinks that the Constitutional amendment on the ballot in California is wrong and it is discriminatory.
So if the citizens of CA have already voted, over 60%, to make it law that marriage is between one man and one woman and yet 4 judges decided that the people of California are wrong, what does that say about Obama and his belief that the people do not know what is best for them but that he and the govt. should decide?
He has said that the states and the federal govt. should allow gay marriage and is against any sort of legislation or constitutional amendments to make it illegal. I won’t even touch the fact that he calls himself a “christian”. Whatever.
Are you ready to give up your say and just let Obama and his judges decide what is best for you? I am not quite that comfortable given the things he stands for and how they directly contradict with what I believe in.

I Don’t Mind A Flipper…

July 18, 2008

but I can’t stand a flip-flopper.  You know we all change our mind on things as we gain more insight or get better acquainted with the facts.  But there is a big difference in changing your mind and pandering to whatever audience you are in front of.  Now I am not a big fan of John McCain, but at least I know where he stands and for the most part know that he not going to be changing his mind every time he steps in front of a crowd.

It seems Sen. Obama has really started to change his mind on a lot of things since he wrapped up the nomination.  Iraq in particular is troubling to me and his disgust and then praising of the surge that we all know was a great success.   He is running to the middle if you ask me now that he has little or no use of the far left nut jobs.  Granted he will need them come November but we know that their seething hate for all things conservative will keep them in his corner no matter how much they whine.

So what do you think?  Is he flip-flopping and pandering or is he just changing his mind?  Check this out while you think about it.

40,000,000 vs. 4,000

July 8, 2008

I just don’t understand the hypocrisy of the left.  Every time a liberal starts to cry that “4000 have died since the start of the war!” I cringe.  How about crying out about the 7,500,000 who have died since the war started in 2003.  What about them?  Why don’t you cry about their lives cut short?  They were not even volunteers!  They did not go willing!  Let’s look even further back when we made it legal to kill them.  40,000,000 have been killed since we as good and understanding Americans decided it was in our country’s best interest to kill our own future.

How can you cry about the 4000 when there have been 40,000,000 since Roe?  Honestly, tell me, I just can’t grasp that hypocrisy!  It really leads me to believe that they don’t care for the born or the unborn.   It is just about politics to them.

Speaking of hypocrisy…

Well Obama…we are waiting.
